Fully nerding out right now!!! I was at the park today and saw that there is a big announcement for August 18th - http://www.canadaswonderland.com/2012/

Some of the quotes are very promising.

"If I ride one ride in 2012, this is the one" - Gary Slade, Editor and publisher, Amusement Today

"We have always love breaking records. Congratulations, Wonderland" - Richard L. Kinzel, Chief Executive Officer, Cedar Fair Entertainment

After talking from someone that I used to work with at the park, the new ride is going to be 350ft tall and have a 90 degree drop "or that's what I've heard". Either way, it's going to be taller than Behemoth for sure and it's being built on top of Dragon Fire :D

Having a ride of this magnitude built so soon after Behemoth is actually amazing but not surprising considering Wonderland was Cedar Fair's most profitable park in 2008. This completely makes up for Windseeker which is underwhelming to say the least.

That ride is so ing boss. It really put Wonderland back on the map in terms of amusement parks in North America. Riding it with your hands up and feet out for the entire ride is incredible (love the restraints!)

This ride better be proper, the US and Japan had always laughed at our kiddie rides.

The last time I was there was when the top gun rollercoaster made it's debut. I have no idea how long ago that was.

One thing I've always wanted to do was do a weekend trip to cedar point in Ohio.

Wife and I bought seasons passes its first year. We went to the park. Stood in line for two hours. LOVED the ride and went home figuring we'll be back soon enough. Then she got pregnant and we didn't go back.

So we paid 60 bucks each to ride the Behemouth once...

Sick coaster though. I can't wait to try out this new one. Is it gonna be similar to the other vertical ones??
