TRS Jack Problem

I should hang my head in shame, but it seemed to be (A)ok when it went in.

I hav a sapphire pro 14, and i was connecting up a couple of TRS audio jacks to it. Anyway, i thought that the two pre amped mic ins 1 n 2 on the front accepted TRS jacks 3/4 or whatever size they are!

These jacks went in without a fuss, so i assumed they would pull out. I was certain the two in's on the front doubled in terms of inputs. How can i get them out, im stumped:eyespop:

The mic 1-2 ins are the standard multipurpose neutrik connection, which accept both XLR & 1/4" TRS.

You need to pull harder:p

Your telling me, thats what i thought, n iv been pulling and pulling hard i might add to the point where i think im gona fucck it

hahaha now you guys, I still havent gotten around to pulling it again to see if it will come out, will see how i go.

if it rotates freely, try turning/wiggling it while pulling it - you'll probably be able to jiggle it out easier.

Most interface preamps these days have combination 1/4-inch/XLR inputs on the front panel. These often have a little button/release lever on them. This may seem obvious, but does your interface have one? If so, push it in while you pull on the plug.

If not, try this:

It might not get the plug out, but it should increase your pleasure while you try.

If the KY thing doesn't work for ya ;) Pop the cover. The side contact could be bent for some reason and binding things...try more fiber ;)

I think that only works for banana jacks on modulars. I have had limited success with my 1/4 in. and KY though...

Jacks! my 1/4 in. JACKS!!! PUTTING MY...NO! I meant...(Oh God the shame...;)
