I don't really watch anime, but one of the coolest shows in existence is Cowboy Bebop. The music is fantastic and the art is pretty cool. No real cohesive storyline through the series, but it's enjoyable nonetheless.

yeah, Cowboy Bebop is probaly my favorite. Samurai Champloo, also from Watanabe, is pretty good.
Afro Samurai, Trigun, and Vampire Hunter D movies were also entertaining.
That's about all that comes to mind, but my tastes are into the whole sci-fi western/opera genre.
I think stuff like Inuyasha is intolerable. |

I just watched the Rebuild of Evangelion 1.0 and 2.0 , both are a compressed version of the series ....Simply amazing !
I still prefer the old ones. though :toocool: |
Is this the continuation of "Genesis Evangelion with the little kid"?
OT: I've watched: Elfen Lied, Death Note, Hellsing, Fullmetal Alchemist, Neo Genesis Evangelion and some others. Didn't like Black Lagoon at all. |

Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop are awesome! Cowboy Bebop is such a neat concept; I like how all the episodes are contained within themselves, and yet over 24 (I think) episodes it still tells a tale that spans a total of six years.
I am currently (re)watching Revolutionary Girl Utena, I'm showing it to my roommate and she loves it. Another good one I just found is Baccano!, it is sort of in the same vein as Cowboy Bebop. |

Watch some decent movies you uneducated pricks. |
Havent really been paying attention to anime in the last year or so, there are so many things on my to watch lists ill have to get seriously sick in order to watch them all since i mostly watch anime when im ill in bed. I do put on an ocasional episode of Luck Star though, since thats one of my all time favourite shows. Also one of my favs, Nodame Cantabile

Cowboy bebop...a true classic in every sense of the word and one of the series that is still as good today as the first time i watched it...and i cant say that for many shows. |

Anyone who doesn't cry during that has no soul (and you understand why it was released as a double feature in theaters with My Neighbor Totoro!).
We watched it in high school during Japanese class when the teacher was away. The substitute was like "wtf..."
Also I enjoy most other Studio Ghibli films, pretty much all of which are more uplifting than Grave of the Fireflies. One that a lot of people have not seen from them is Whisper of the Heart which is really good. The animation is incredible, the soundtrack very well done (including John Denver's Country Road as a main theme of the film) and the depictions of Tama Hills is very nice (also Pon Poko takes place in Tama Hills and involves well endowed tanuki). Miyazaki did the screenplay, but it is not one of his directorial pieces. |
