| I really haven't watched much anime, aside from the really mainstream stuff. I've seen all the Neon Genesis series, and the Akira, Ghost in the Shell, and Ninja Scroll movies. That's about it, I think? Unless you count Miyazaki stuff. |

But, I reckon it's rather because I can't relate to animation in general. The only anime I've ever managed to watch and enjoy was "Evangelion" because I wanted to see how far I could go... and by the time I reached the 789th episode, I was so dazed and confused that I started tripping with Shinji.
And "Excel Saga" makes me laugh. Oh, I also watched "Azumanga Dayoh" once to practise my Japanese but I can't remember what exactly happened in the episodes I watched.

Edit: My fiancée, who watched Grave of the Fireflies with me did cry and it made me feel mushy... but, come to think of it, everything churned out by the Ghibli Studios makes me feel miserable :p |
