| This party was beyond hype. I got there around 3 while Nicole was playing. decent opening set. too bad i missed her remix of shake you. carl was awesome. hands down just as better as his last appearance at stereo. his first hour or so was slow, but then he started with the techy stuff. lots of vaginal talent as well. sick party. afterhours has become so hard to go to because of the aftermath. its 11 right now and i just woke up. my sleeping clock is ed for the next week. |

| Great opener by Carl but his set lacked the energy from the warm up set. Some very good deep tech tracks, interesting tempo from him which perhaps saved many from collapsing in that stifling sardine can heat. |

what a night at the temple!!!! ... not the usual Stereo sound that i'm used to hearing at that place, but it was a refreshing change ... still a good mix of gay/straight :) ... the place was rammed when I got in at 2:30 ...
I'm pretty sure the ceilings were dripping by 7am ... lol
the crowd was really feeling it and into it ... yelling and screaming ...lots of hands in the air during his build ups ...never seen Cox before, and I did expect it to be a bit faster, but I still didnt stop dancing for 6 hours
great night overall!! |

I can't believe what I'm about to write but I felt Carl Cox was a bit boring...don't get me wrong it was a banging set but I felt it was completely predictable and the flow of the set remained the same. Some points during the set he would play a great build up track and slow it down a notch and repeated this pattern throughout most of the set. He finally picked it up after 7am but at that time I was feeling pretty dead, especially partying the morning before with diggers so perhaps that played a crucial role to this party experience. Stereo was rammed from corner to corner; the temperature level was set extremely hot. I definitely preferred Cox's last visit here at the old stereo way better. I would love the idea if Stereo could hang a camera overlooking the dj while he spins and display it on the big screens. Watching cox play is so entertaining. From the pump fisiting, to screaming on the mic "Whats up STEREO", to his classic bitch slap slams on the mixer, just amazing...
He are two tracks I remember from the night;
Maxime Dangles - Sante
John Digweed & Nick Muir - 30 Northeast <3 <3 <3 |

| All in all i enjoyed the night, left a little after 10. Really thought Nicole Moudaber had a great set. I know it was packed but was the air condiitoning closed upstairs? Downstairs instead felt like an icebox. By any chance, does anyone know the name of the song he played with the bouncy steel drum melody. I think it played between 8:30-9:00. |

Came to Stereo around 2:00 AM after a solid 3 hour power nap, and was ready to hit the dance floor. I was very surprised to what extent it was packed at that hour. Nicole Moudaber was at the decks and I WAS LOVING what she was playing. Very raw, dark set and was enjoying it very well.
5:00, CARL COX is in the house and I couldn't wait to hear what he had to bring. The first two hours were proper banging tunes. Very up paced. The crowed was loving it, everyone was pretty damn wild on the floor. Sadly, I found his set to be a bit too simplistic. Nothing new and special came along. Same kind of sound, good music none the less but very predictable and lack of imagination.
All and all, amazing night/vibe. Music was very good but was expecting something bigger and more interesting from a dj of the caliber of Carl Cox.
Thank you Stereo/Staff and thank you crowed for this amazing night! |
