Jack Moss - Rainy Day Sessions [Various]

This is the first entry in what will hopefully become an ongoing project. Inspired by ASC's excellent Deep Space mixes, the aim of the Rainy Day Sessions is to make the most of those frustrating afternoons trapped inside by British weather. These sets will be fairly short, around 30-50 minutes, with the idea being that they can be made in an afternoon or evening whenever I feel like it, without the weeks of track-hunting that go into a typical 80 minute mix, which also gives me a platform to play a wide variety of sounds.
I'll keep all the mixes to this thread. Click on the images to download. Many thanks, as always, to Stu for the hosting.

| Been digging this all day, I like the Invisible Woman track especially. Great mixing all throughout, would have been nice to have a few days ago to listen to during Hurricane Irene though! |

| Great mix. I found myself apathetic towards the early ambient stuff, but the lush, dreamy DnB really hit the spot. |

I'd be potentially interested in guest submissions to the project, if you feel your mix would fit the bill. I mainly want to dedicate this to deeper mood music: ambient, IDM, dub techno, atmospheric D&B/dubstep etc. Not so much song-y songs or outright dancefloor material. Hopefully as I add more to this thread, a signature sound of sorts will coalesce.
The same goes for anyone else. If you ever want a platform to play moody stuff that you can't fit into a dancefloor set, PM me. Note that I do not mean bull "chill out" mixes with Tears In The Rain in them. |

Yeah, i mean just for example some of the artists who will make an appearance are Brian Eno, Sun Ra, Fennez, Vangelis, Pete Namlook, Andrew Artemyev, among others. |

| That sounds perfect. I'd have no problem in turning this into a collaborative project, maybe even putting together a dedicated blog/website to archive the mixes if it gathers steam. I have no grand plans for this, but it would be nice if it turned into a thing people tuned into to hear a wide variety of interesting music played by DJs who aren't bound by the usual limitations of the trade. |
