That Dave Clarke geezer is in the same boat. Still djing everywhere but you never hear anyone talking much about him.

Still my favorite "live" DJ. Insane mixing coupled with non stop rhythm

You know what, it IS pretty funny because I never ever ever EVER hear ANYBODY talk about him. I never even listened to his music in my life.

Then, all of a sudden while I'm on vacation in Macedonia, I see flyers for Carl Cox with an opening set by John Digweed. 8,000 people showed up on the beach to see them!!! WTF? I didn't even know people over there even knew about him.

Another cool thing: It was carl cox's birthday that night and everyone sang it to him when he came on :)

A photo I took of the event.

As a comparison, david guetta came 3 days later and drew a crowd of 10,000. Hmmmm... and I always hear EVERYONE talk about him. Not only that, but they play his music a lot in macedonia.

Anyway, I'm a trance guy and never though I'd ever care to see cox live but I was pleasantly surprised. YES his mixing is flawless, holy . I enjoyed digweed a little better (another guy I never listened to ever besides Heaven Scent).

Just like Danny Tenaglia, they're known for their DJing skills. If this wasn't trance addict you could probably add Sasha to 'not relevant'.. I've never seen Cox but he's in town this sunday at Stereo and I got my ticket. He's playing an extended set, Nicole Moudaber is opening. Tickets online are sold out and I think only a few will be sold at the door..

Come in with condoms on each finger ready to learn. This I will learn you.

Saw him play out in Houston like two years ago. I wasn't impressed. The set he played was a bunch of lifeless cold soulless dead tech with a decent track here and there. A few friends and i left before it was over. Although i remember wanting to stay for some reason but ended up leaving.
He gets into it though. Speaking on the mic and what not (Which i more often then not don't appreciate. I feel it distracts from the music). Getting the crowd all pumped. Bouncing around in the dj booth. But in all fairness; i think i'm of the few that didn't enjoy his set. The crowd was going nuts to the music he was playing.
