Has anyone stopped doing drugs but continued clubbing?

Like many, when I go clubbing, I do pills/mdma and have done for years. For a long time since I started, I haven't thought I could go clubbing and not do anything. For any of you who do take stuff, I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about.
Problem is, these days, I rarely want to take anything, can't be arsed with the recovery period over the next couple of days, or rocking in at 9am on a Sunday morning, my Sunday becoming a complete write-off as I fail to sleep or watch tv like a zombie.
As I've restricted the frequency of taking stuff, my nights out clubbing have also been cut down as for me, they go hand in hand.
Lately, I've been wanting to go clubbing more often again but without taking anything (getting pissed is fine) but it's difficult. All my friends still do it so the tempation and access is there. And it's not like I'm completely against drugs or had some bad experience which has put me off for life.
A few times, I've planned not to do anything but then on the night itself, I'm like " it, stop being a and enjoy yourself" so I cave in. Have a good night but regret it the next day and as a result, don't go clubbing again for a couple of months.
Has anyone else been in this position? Were you able to make the switch from getting ed to just pissed or even sober? Or did you're clubbing days become less and less and slide away, along with taking stuff.
These questions aren't aimed at those who may have took something once or twice, I'm talking about those of us for who this has been an integral part of the whole clubbing experience.
Cheers

I understand an recognize what you're saying. But if you're expecting some sort of miracle solution then i can't help you.
You just have to do it a few times. Allow yourself to get used to it again. Unfortunately a lot of people seem to go rather bitter in their post-drug partying days; not capable of dealing with the minor annoyances anymore. It's up to you to keep a solid attitude and prevent that from happening. |

Try just doing less drugs first. I go out sober/just drink a bit in the winter when the clubs close at 2am. But in the summer when I'm at festivals and partying out doors, the party goes til 8 usually and I am usually taking a few different drugs, along with a bit of booze and smoking weed.
However, I find your logic backwards. Last weekend I went to a party til 8am and only did 1.5 pills and did not do any drinking, and went to work at 3 that evening and felt nearly fine. Drinking is what makes you feel like . I can recover from mdma or mushrooms no problem. My point is, drugs are fun, but being MANGLED is generally excessive and you pay for it for a long time after. So just do one or 2 pills and have a nice small buzz on. If you moderate yourself, you can still have a non-sober night and not hafta pay for it... |

This. Though I don't go and get mashed that often anymore, I find when I do, it's the booze that I have the hardest time recovering from, at least short-term.
As for the long-term recovery period associated with harder stuff, I used to suffer from that, but hardly anymore. It likely helps that I do it so infrequently now (maybe once every few months) that only a couple pills are needed to have a good time. |

You've officially spoiled yourself from enjoying the Music naturally. You've conditioned yourself to have the MDMA alongside the Chunes, and now you cannot enjoy one without the either.
You should have been smoking some good ole Chronic and listening to the tunes. No Drugs. No Alcohol. Period.
Now you're screwed. |

Used to get ed off my head 10 years ago. But as I got older the hard +work could sustain its self.
Now a days a couple of beers and good beats is all I need |

| folks, drugs and alcohol are the abysmal method to liberation. Take a dose of Jesus and his effect will never wear off. |
