I think you are referring to Labour of Love 2005.
Definitely the best Labour Day party I have ever attended. Possibly my favourite event to date. 2005 was a great year.
Why can't Cattaneo just come to Toronto so I can save the hassle of travelling 5 hours and spending money on DJ's I DON'T want to see. That entire Trance room is a write off for me.
Ugh.
I think the biggest turn off for me is:
Ages 18 & up. For once it would be nice to have a 21+ crowd at the bare minimum, I'm getting too old for these kiddies :P |

At least 90% of black and blue clients are 21 over
Easily 50% are 25 and over
A good 25% are 30 and over
Good enough ? :-)
Majority are music lovers and come for the djs |

you need to skip Toronto for once, Montreal is next level, all in terms of crowd diversity, vibe, even venue. Women are hotter too :p |

Some negative comments from about the trance room but the trancheads aren't elaborating why. Is it the djs booked or the one hour sets or both??
Trance room has six top 100 djmag djs in there, for those who look at that as an important factor. I may catch some W&W and also see what Max Graham is spinning now, he seems to do well in all the genres he's tackled, including hip hop from back in the day :p |

yeah, Black and blue is a much more mature crowd. I find Guv to be the opposite, see for yourself. |

I really dont see how anyone can complain about that trance lineup, its amazing. The only thing is maybe the time slots like some mentioned, no DJ will spin for more than an hour I guess. But still, Andy Moor, W&W, JOC, Schossow, Divini, Bolier.. even just having those 6 would be amazing!
I´m so pissed I´m gonna be missing this lol... . |

^^^ Agreed. I'm not enough of a trance fan to go out of my way to attend distant events just for it, but if this was in Toronto I'd be all over it cause that lineup is going to be non-stop energy.
The only way I can see complaints would be:
-1 hour sets, some people who like to be taken on a "journey" or whatever won't feel that's enough time.
-It doesn't have any of the cheesed out mainstream guys that are actually spinning more prog house and weirdness than trance lately (Gareth, Sander...). Some people eat that stuff up so might be bummed to not have it.
Overall house and trance wise the lineup matches the ticket price and suits the target market well. Doesn't matter who you book though you'll never please everyone, proof of that is in almost every TA festival thread. |
