what did you think about the party

there was this one point at around 6 when i knew i had to go - the 2 guys were comgin on to close and some dude came up to me with a huge smile on his face 'carl cox is finally coming on!'
:haha:

I gotta say, I left the party early. The music was just lax after the middle of sashas set and not dark prog like I anticipated or energy like his july 4th boat party. And barely anyone actually dances, not just knee bending. And I was so frustrated with the old hong kong junkie crowd puking in the trash cans and trying to own the place.
And so many creepy old guys!
I suddenly have a new respect for pacha nyc if that was avalons usual crowd.

Sasha played great last night, better than last time I remember hearing him at Avalon. I didn't feel it was sluggish at all, much more upbeat than the stuff he plays in Berlin at Panorama Bar, for example. The very ending was the best moment for me.

Cassy was on and off the entire night. Some great tracks, others were really boring "filler" tracks.

Sasha was pretty wasted after his set, so he couldn't perform the B2B like he originally planned (Cummon, don't act like you're surprised!) :p

what time did you leave?
i anticipated a really dark set too. i was so looking forward to it. then i kept telling myself 'when he gets back on later it'll get really dark' haha. o well.
as for the 'hong kong junkie crowd' - yeaa....yupp.

I left around 3;30ish, but I hadnt checked if he was off. As I was in the back I wasnt watching the djs. Maybe the back to back was pulling the set down, it went up a few times but never stayed more than a couple mins. His last set I heard him play was "DRIVING".

Damn, my hearing is still kind of screwed up today. I was there from 10:30pm to 6am, but I was wearing earplugs :( They're the generic ones from CVS but they usually work very well.

i think sasha went off at 3:00ish, katy.

my ears are ehhh today. hearing is okay, minor discomfort though. yesterday was a bad day for my ears, without a doubt. i spent the whole day relaxing and watching movies to recover tho

Only thing is LA doesn't pack you like sardines! Every time I have been to Pacha the dance floor is WAYYY over packed! Thank god for Ted and the DJ booth...but even then the booth gets to crowded at times :/
