There you have it. This should put an end to all the "can I make pro songs in FLS threads?" once and for all.

The funny part is that Reaper is #4, yet a link on the very same page says that it's the best DAW in the world today.

Now, I think I'm finally beginning to understand why so many newbs are confused and think that there actually is such a thing as a "best" DAW.

yeah i get what your are saying but people will always look for that edge in there music making skills.

True, but claiming that the most popular DAW is synonymous with "the best" is pretty misleading and doesn't necessarily give anyone an edge in making music. They're all good DAWs - there's no reason for musicradar to keep perpetuating this idea of a "best" DAW.
Looney4Clooney
really doubt it is the most popular. Can you even record with fruity loops ?
Kysora
Yeah, MIDI and audio.

*sigh*

I think trying to quantify which DAW is the most "popular" and then making any sort of objective claim based on that is a tad silly.

heck i bet image line paid em for top spot its all about marketing i guess.

i agree but best= more sales i am more interested to here peoples idea of a best daw and why.

Kysora
There is no "best" DAW. Different strokes for different folks. Stop derailing the thread.

FLS is missing a few things to make it a professional DAW. Maybe i'm wrong. Can it send a wordclock ? IS it still 32 bit ? Maybe sufficient for EDM producers but I doubt you will find anyone making any other kind of music with it.
