you can't afford it honestly. if they have you clocked at 81, most cop cars today have dash cams to document the infraction, complete with the speed of your car at the bottom.
you will pay a lawyer, they will pop in the video of you speeding, and you will have the same 400$ ticket plus legal fees.
sounds wise.
people get lawyers for this type of thing when they have a legal leg to stand on. too many people get the impression that lawyers can fix everything. they will always rake the paycheck even if they know you will lose. you got caught breaking the law, live with it like a big girl. |

I have used lawyers to handle traffic situations but it was only at times when I needed them to keep my license.
Hiring a lawyer will prolly get your penalties/fines reduced by at least 25%, but will it be worth it after you pay your lawyer. |

he was in front of me, and it was a motorcycle. there's no way he has video of anything. |

| I never got how people could get caught so many times that they were in danger of losing their license. get 3 speeding tickets in a week? stop speeding no? |

| Or drinking while driving. The first time you got caught and managed to keep your license did not scare the out of you? They let you off and you did it again? Lots of time to read while on the bus, huh? |

if he was in front of you, chances are you got clocked by a hidden cop and had your tag radioed to the bike cop.
radar guns takes pictures and videos now. here you can get a ticket in the mail without even getting pulled over.
do what you want to do slylee, but the fact is you admittedly got caught doing what they ticketed you for. the odds are not with you here. |

| no it's good advice, don't get me wrong. i'm just trying to examine all my options here. i thought other people's experiences would help weigh the pros and cons. |

| I know a lawyer who is a family friend and he always gets me out of getting points on my license after a speeding ticket. I usually pay about $100 bucks to his firm and the ticket practically disappears. It's cheaper on my end, but then again, I don't really have to "hire" him. |

| I always used those lawyers for like 70 + that get mailed to your house after you get a ticket. You save the hassle of having to go to court ( if you have to ) and wait in some random time of day, or end up paying w.e. the cost o the ticket is upfront which is not what you want to do. Most likely you'll end up paying the lawyers fee and court fees that can probably cost in the 100's or upper 100's. You'll still save money. You may have the ticket dismissed but not without the court fees which always sucks. |

And you don't believe that lawyers and the court system have a business going on in this kind of things ? ....... This lawyers are buddies with the judges.. If you've ever been to court for this kinds of infraction ( which I have ) the judge just flips through the paper work, stamps it and off the lawyer go, they are the first to walk up to the judge and get special perks. May not happen on extreme circumstances but that's their ( laywers ) call before they take your case if they want and are willing to. |

Why the did you go 81 to pass, that was your mistake. You can easily pass by only going a few over what the person is doing that you are trying to pass.
Don't be a greedy whore. |
