I think the purpose is to prevent scalping so Pacha makes more money. I bet it's $200 at the door, so if it sells out, people shell out the extra +/-$75 to the promoter, not the scalpers.
Club tickets is doing this at lots of their events now - like Avicii for NYE - technically you can fill out a cc authorization form so somebody else can use your tickets, but they charge you $15 for it and require the last 4 digits of the new attendees cc - basically makes reselling difficult.

insane prices. saw him at Ezoo this year - solid set, and he played a lot of his classics, although he pitched them down and played edited versions to fit in with his trouse set. still awesome though, brought back a lot of memories.
