best bet is just to move on and not even care
this year at e-zoo some people ventured to hear his set after carl cox to see what hes about, me i just went home
i have no desire to hear him, armin, above&beyond, ferry etc etc
they all changed and play cheese and pop thats it...no epic trance,no journey sets

I'm with you on this. I just don't care anymore about those acts or the "mainstream trance"

I have moved on into techno/techhouse/prog house world...and more into underground parties. I still love hearing our awesome locals though!

So many complaints from this night but he's still going to sell out his next 3-5 years worth of NYC shows and some people from TA will still be there. Chances are, he'll be at Electric Zoo 4.0 and he'll probably continue to be #3 DJ in the world next year and make $90,000 a night. C'est la vie.

On a more personal scale though, it's just disappointing to see one of your former musical heroes go down this road. Now I don't know if he produced any of his old music or what anymore, but if he did, he was a goddamn pioneer..

...it was not as packed as the first show Armin did at Pacha just days after becoming #1 in DJMag for the 1st time. Forgot which year was that, but I do remember he opened the set with "Big Sky". Also, I noticed a lot of tickets went unsold at StubHub, CL, eBay.

Yea, it's always that one more chance, (just one more right?) then they come on the forums and complain...but when he comes back they go see him again. Some people are just gluttons for punishment and like to have things to complain about :p

i don't think anyone who supports him has been in the scene for no more than 2 years. i had couple of tickets cause i wanted to make some profit and people were still messaging me at 2am while he was on, willing to pay $150 a ticket. funny thing is that he apparently moved away from trance becase "it all sounds the same" meanwhile every house track he plays sounds like it was produced by the same guy. what a jackass.

We are still laughing at 'trouse' in my little group of EDM friends :)

Anyway, about wed at pacha.. it wasnt horrible.. it just didnt 'catch' me? I saw him at Energy in the spring and i loved what he did there(despite some peeps here being less than enthusiastic) .

I think maybe its the crowd at pacha to be honest..

Or maybe it was the 9am work morning after looming.....
