2006-2007-early 2008 were the best of SvD.
His new album is garbage. If you listen to the first album Supernaturalistic and then Eleve11 it doesnt even sound like the same artist. |

While admittedly not a trance fan. Seeing him at BETA pretty much ensured that id never see him again. |
he was terrible at beta. he was ok on sat but just ok. we were all too hammered to notice though. left before the end of the set, i think. looking back at the pics though, our group definitely had a good time. i also thought the lights and lasers were really good. havent been to guv for a couple months though |

I didn't think his set was that bad, I actually had a pretty good time. The crowd was certainly pumped and it's not very often I see that many people still going strong like that at 4am.
To be fair, having half the speakers blown out really messed with the vibe and that's the one thing that could've been done without.
I guess I was the only one who kinda enjoyed hearing Dark Train in the middle of his set. But as some others have said, I could've gone for some of his older stuff like Pumpkin (I don't think I heard this one), Riff, or his remix of Direct Dizko.
Also, I actually like Love is Darkness. That is all. |

caught the end of set due to nuit blance...
he was ok. Had me dancing pretty good. A little too much blaring electro at bits, including that Maximal Crazy song by tiesto....
urgh....
no Direct Dizko made me sad.
However Mark Oliver proceeded to kick some ass for an hour or so before we left. Been a while since i Heard him play and it was nice to take that little trip back. |

| He was much better this time around then the previous 2-3... however his flow was lacking and he did play that rediculas Tiesto track. The dB level was just over the top loud. As a professional he needs to be more aware of this or atleast have someone on the guv staff keep him aware. As chinmon mentioned the vibe was top notch and unfortunatly a lot left right when SVD got off. They did miss Oliver ripping it up, his first hour & a half was just relentless. |

got pretty good towards the end, when I was about to leave. Beggining and middle were so-so nothing mind blowing |

Oh, trust me. We were definitely aware. We found out later that he as wearing ear plugs during his set which makes no sense to me because a dj needs to hear his monitors loud enough over the club speakers. If the dj wears ear plugs then he/she will just have to turn the monitors up even louder. |

good earplugs don't make you "hear less", they cancel out all the bad frequencies in a loud place that may cause hearing damage over prolonged period. The issue is that most known djs only start using earplugs after they've gone deaf. |
