tiesto sucks!!!! (pg. 9)

| All i gotta say (AND THIS IS JUST MY HUMBLE OPINION) is that for someone that's been DJin for 17 years, Tiesto's skills at mixing are not anything spectacular. He used to have amazing energetic sets like 2-3 years ago. Now his sets just dont do it for me. I dont have any problems with a DJ experimenting with new genres. But playing the same tracks over and over for months is kind of whack. What is up with him calling himself a "popstar"?? I'm seriously beginning to think all the fame and publicity is going to his head. As long as he doesn't end up like oakenfold, its ok. Have you noticed Oakenfold's name on soundtracks to many new movies? Seems like Oakenfold's only interest in HOllywood is $$$$. He changes the style of his sets specifically to appeal to American taste...and I have a SERIOUS problem with that. |

okay, presonnally, i have never been to a live show, but i think for me being able to id the track would make it more memorabe and better, because u would be able to say "yeah he played blah". and whats better, staying @ home to listen to it or seeing it live...
i'd choose live...

Have u all heard Oakenfold at dance department and global gathering???
Listen to the sets and come back and say he sucks.
Its not that he makes soundtracks for movies that he sucks.
There's more in this world then only trance...if got the motivation and the "power" to get himself higher up on something he should take the opportunity, asking Oakenfold for writing a soundtrack means that he's an artist, they wont ask Dumonde to do that.
Nothing against Dumonde because I love "memory" and "never look back", both great tunes, and do u hear me flaming them? NO, I don't like them cuz its not my style, but I don't say they suck, cuz other people like them, so they wont suck in other peoples eyes....
It's not all about YOUR MUSIC, its about ALL MUSIC.
And this is where most of u guys fail in, they have one favorite style and they are disgusted by everything that's not their taste....blahblahblah, if U act like this (and MANY people here on the forum) u prove to other people who are open for every kind of music that ur a n00b in music.
You know why there are a lot of people who dislike progressive?
I know, I told it on another thread, Its because they are easy listeners...They have no idea of really GOOD music that brings you somewhere (I also know that dumonde playing in a club brings people to flip out, me too if im there, but thats because its easy music, simple beats that are really easy to get onto people, thats why cheesy tracks do good on commercial charts --> easy listening, the first time they hear it the are in love with it, its cheese, but people like it, because their minds dont look further for intelligent music, it's a nice melody, it gets onto them and the track is a HIT, thats the way it goes...I've been in this stage too, but there will come a time u maybe understand me)
The deeper meaning of music, there's where REAL artists succeed in. |

i do not say "tiesto sucks" infact i dont use the word suck coz its yank, but i didnt amke this thread did i. i am always there to back up people on the truth. i do not say he is coz i dont like him (even tho i dont) his mixing is poor and his poor productions are just screened from you by there techy "coolness" in the end they are to techy stuff what flip and fill is to trance! |

And Im open for every kind of trance, music, as long its good...
