Why has it become, popular, to hate tiesto? (pg. 3)

I can sympathise with Dumonde_Trancer and the other guys dislike of 'newbies' who think they are cool by become acolytes of tiesto, and I feel disgruntled myself at the best of times.
Yes his sets are wuite samey, but thats all i've heard, I haven't heard him live but I know I have been listening to him for a few years and although he may have reached his peak from 99-01 in my book he is still my second fav dj, after Corsten that is :thepirate
I am also loving Cor Fijneman at the moment, what a wiked dj :crazy: |

well, you know, it is not cool to like mainstream stuff. Since tiesto is mainstream, we cannot like him, since we are elitists and we know better than the masses what is cool. Therefore, we cannot like him.
How can you not love underground stuff? You are soo uncool!! |

tiesto IS the man. Magik 4 and 5 are amazing. and
magik 7 via LA was sweet. hes a great dj, and a
great influence. dj doboy robs all his . you
allways hear tiestos beats in dance cd's. BT robs his
. and rightfuly so. tiesto makes such good music,
wether your sitting with your friends, listening to em,
driving and blaring the techno, or getting yo groove on
@ the club. Tiesto is one of, if not, my favorite Dj. ppl
who dont like him, w/e. hes the shiiitttt!!!

| well i think the old tiesto was better he seems to be more of the progressive man now and thats not really my style but i dont hate him i just think the old tiesto was much better!!!:) |

| personally i think tiesto has taken on way tooo many tracks to remix! i think that he is remixing tracks now that he would not have remixed before! i dont think he is losing his touch but he has to be ore picky and choose better tunes to remix and just say no to the production ppl want him to remix! |

Despite what some less educated/refined individuals may think, there is a serious different between progressive and non-melodic BORING trance! I believe Tiesto is much more the later than the former these days. There is a lot to be said for changing sounds and styles, but unfortunately this was for worse. I saw him at DC in area 2 and his set OK but did not even compare to John digweed (Tiesto spinning progressive...... MY ASS!) and Carl Cox. I miss the days of SummerBreeze and the Magik series. Maybe the supposed release of Magik 8 will reaffirm my faith in this currently faltering DJ. |

| I don't have anything against the man - I'm sure he's a great guy. I just think it's sad that he's moving closer towards the so-called 'progressive' style which I think is far inferior to the emotional high of trance music. |

the , i believe , new CD by him. The cd with the song, #5.. satilite.
well, on that CD, song #9. theres a section taken from one of the
magik series. i think magik 5. dont quote me. but, like i said,
rightfully so. as tiesto, is the man. BT is chillen too.
i really like his music.
