Could also be a photographer thing I guess. |

I do sometimes, but mostly only in the winter. Spring, summer and autumn are warm here, so I walk in and ditch my shoes in my office. |

I like the sound of my shoes on the polished wood floor. I don't care if I'm going to hell, I LIKE IT THERE. |

| I like the idea of specified "house shoes" or slippers, but I really don't like the idea of wearing the same shoes inside that you've been wearing outside all day, and it drives me mad when someone just walks into my apartment without taking their shows off. Incredibly rude, imo. |

Yeah, I like when people take their shoes off at my place too. I have a mixture of carpet and porcelain tile; and I always am barefoot or have socks on (winter time) instead of shoes. I expect everyone else to do the same. Obviously, if we're going in and out from the yard, sure...but once outdoor stuff is done, then off they go. |

I would make you take your feet off. :o
I have all hardwood floors, but I don't think that really matters. Dirt is dirt. I don't want it on my floors. |

In my house we've always left our shoes on if it's a dry day.
When I have visitors, I let them know as they enter the house to "just leave your shoes on".
When I am the visitor, I take my shoes off without asking.
If the owner of the place makes it a point, as I do, of telling me to leave my shoes on, then I will. |

I ask. Sometimes people prefer you to keep them on.
I take mine off, but when people come over I let them do whatever, unless it's raining or something. |

| Depends on the person. Usually I have the type of friends where I don't take off my shoes. |
