Tiesto implies: Trance is for druggies, it's "not mature," and not evolution? (pg. 3)

It seemed as though his influence and commercial sway in the Dance community just continuously began to wane and wane since Elements of Life, to the point where his change in direction possibly reflected his own awareness of it.

he can pull in the dollars, but in terms of cultural cachet he's years behind armin, skrillex, deadmau5 and guetta

In this case scenario, it is highly suggested to rethink things over, and take into account if what you are saying is actually worth mentioning.

Wow. It is highly suggested that you take your pseudo psychology bull elsewhere. Why Jack would respond to this drivel with anything but a kick to the face is beyond me.

Trance-MB, you might not be an idiot in real life, but there is no denying that you more than often come off as one in the discussions on this board. It may be language-related, because many times arguments seem to go way above your head.

DJ NyX you listed Sean Tyas - Lift as one of the best trance track ever. This is ad hominem without you knowing.

on topic; trance is for druggies

feeling a little polemic today? try to find some better arguements than people's taste in music.

Yeah I didn't expect you to understand any of it. Let me translate it to monkey; you're an insightful person.

oh well ok then.

all i was trying to say was that why people just can't let other people listen to what they like. i might not like it but at the same time i don't care for it either nor do i attack their position. if people want to listen to Tiesto, let them.

I wouldn't call this pseudo-psychology at all. He's simply stating that if I go around drunkenly insulting people on the forum, those people are going to start developing a grudge against me.

This guy is still pretty ignorant and over-enthusiastic, but his heart is in the right place: he's making the transition towards liking good trance and rejecting the stuff, and his confused ramblings are his way of processing that development of taste. I shouldn't have simply told him to shut the up. The guy listens to what I say, he downloaded my last trance mix and by all accounts was exposed to a new sound as a result. If I alienate him, he's less likely to come round to my way of thinking, and so insulting him is counter-productive.

Maybe in this case, but generally changing your demeanor because people listen to your mixes and respect you is, in my opinion, wrong. I threw up a little by reading his reply, and drunkenly insulting people is much more fun!

isn't this the same guy who said back in 2001 that progressive is boring
