Goodbye Armin. It was nice knowing you when you made Trance. (or was it benno?)

not as bad as i thought it was going to be...but you gotta think in order for him to stay "#1"(in popularity and marketing), then he is going to have to start pleasing the US crowd with that music

I don't know if one remix really determines that he's switching his sound. He was probably doing this to cater to David Guetta's following more than anything else.

cop out.

how was he #1 for so many years without doing any house involvement? Granted he did a Remix for Faithless but that's not considered house.

what built his foundation? Trance. If he's following in the footsteps of Tiesto then so be it. The least he could do it change the name of his show to A State Of Music or some bullsh**.

I do not mind him reaching out to other genres in order to stay on top. What bothers me is he quotes "don't be a slave to your own style"
How about, "don't be a slave to what your PR wants you to do"

I can handle the dub mix maybe...

but ugh, that track is hard to stomach.

I wish Armin would just have kept producing with Raz Nitzan like he always did instead of always using Benno for everything now...
I'm a genre snob by no means, but this to me is just really really bad.

Hes always tested the waters with some house music.

Anyone remember his tune 'SATURDAY NIGHT' from a few years ago? I remember that was a huge flop and everyone complained when that one came out too.

Not to mention his latest Universal Religion album's 2nd song was some chunky electro filth song by BT. Thats when I skipped to the next tune.

Obviously I dont care for it, and clearly Armin and Trance's loyal fans have responded appropriately. I am GLAD there is this uproar.

Now if Armin plays dubstep or moombahton next... :whip:

It's not outright horrible or anything, but I remember when "Armin Van Buuren remix" was something seriously special. He wouldn't have become famous in the first place if it weren't for his tracks back then:

Of course that was a long time ago... long before he was voted #1 (He hasn't been the same since).

Still going to Armin Only, though! (if it happens)

I even thought his remix of Dido's - Everything To Lose a few years ago was pretty good, but this remix of Guetta & Usher is just disgraceful.
I hope Armin really does see all the backlash from this and questions what he's been doing.
His music literally got me into Trance years ago and for that same artist to now be creating things like this? it's unfathomable...

I'm not even going to push play on that monstrosity.

USHER + GUETTA, remixed by Armin? That has to be the tri-vector point of colossal ness.

You lot either haven't been around long enough or have short memories.

, Sahsa used to play his tracks - Now he probably wouldn't give an armin track the steam off his turd on a cold winters day.

This is what he used to make:
