It's hard to be surprised with the poll, it was kind of to be expected. If you take it 5-6 years ago, it's completely different. But it demonstrates the frustration of some house MUSIC lovers. I meet peeps @ Concordia and their like :
- I love house music! Biggest fan ever!
- Really? Which artists do you like?
- Guetta, Deadmouse, specially AVICII. They're really the best!
- I want to shoot myself in the ears. |

| That can't surprise you though. The scene is blowing up in popularity in North America, and the young people are mostly going to get caught up in those names. It's not like they're going to fall for the more respected artists right off the bat. Most will lose interest with dance music altogether after a while, but some will pursue it further and filter into the scene more of us are interested in. |

anyone who's surprised is a moron. I'm too lazy to look this up but I bet there's a strong positive corelation to the DJ top 10 rankings and their FB fan page "likes".
Guetta has 24 million likes on his fan page, no he's #1 considering Gaga has 40 million. |
