Yea, Oakie 1999 is good.. But some of Micro's early cd's were decent as well.

You have a lot a trance radioshow on Itunes
Dinoz2013
di.fm

Why don't more people direct newbs to di.fm?! Endless amount of stuff to go through. As opposed to hand picking random songs here and there.

Lol, was thinking the same. Sven Vath, Jam and Spoon, Hardfloor.

In terms of the best period of trance, for me its 95-99 as Im very old. Oakenfolds essential mixes in this period are exceptional, imo. CDs from the same period are the Ministry of Sound Trance Nation, Reactive, Gatecrasher, Cream, etc.

Beyond this, the scene splits off into sub genres.

Of the current day, try the A State of Trance and Above and Beyond radio shows as a starting point and take it from there.

Start with everything that came out today and work your way backwards.
