So it's standard for the headliners at Stereo to start at 4-5 am and play until closing at 10 am?

i think that depends on whether or not a closing DJ has been assigned for the night.
but yes, i've seen headliners start between 4am and 5am and play until 9am-10am easily...even later in some cases!

No no JOC, thank you for destroying the dance floor with your relentless hard/tech trance. I def wasn't expecting him to play so hard because JOC is known for some very nice melodic tunes which he played here and there but really the story was some very hard pounding trance and we really loved it. There was absolutely no cheese in this trance set.
So I was calling Stereo to see what time he was playing and for how long and I talked to the guy that was actually going to pick him up from the airport; he said that JOC originally only wanted to do 2 hours because that's his standard but Stereo was pushing him hard to do more because that is what is expected from the crowd that frequents Stereo. I called later in the night and the same guy answered and told me that JOC wanted to evaluate the crowd reaction and will make the final call on whether he would do more than 2 hours.
JOC started his set at 4:30 am and played until around 7:45 am. The first hour was a bit of a letdown because I think he was experimenting with various sounds to see which one clicked with the dancefloor and the 2nd and 3rd hour was just a relentless trance bombs. There was around 400+ people dancing all night long.

Looks like it was a good night, Ive only read good reviews about it.
Hopefully there´ll be more trance bookings there in the future as well.

I heard thru the grapevine there will be 4 trance nights a year at Stereo. can't confirm.
