I noticed Insomniac was starting the audio for each DJ on the Graveyard stage lower and then would raise it as the set went along. Markus's set started very low (too low, IMO) and then was nice and loud by the end.
That said, I had to check in for the event a couple miles away and the bass from the event was blasting all the way there and bigtime. THe setup of the stage's might've have something to do it, because the bass was more noticeable there than it was at the actual event. Def some weird accoustics.
Anyhow, in the end might mean earlier events or lower volumed events during the nigt. If Insomniac is smart, they will move the events to be even earlier int he day. I know people here will think it's weird and complain, but given where the event is that might be a better idea (for non-summer events). Some of the best events over in Europe (eg. Dance Valley are done by 11pm or 12pm). |

| Ultra ends at midnight, right? That doesn't stop people from going every year. |

| I noticed that the bass was turned up so loud in the techno area by the end of the night that we noticed from the outside that the walls were shaking and making rattling noise. I'm pretty sure that everyone within a mile heard it while sleeping. |

| If a concert/festival is generating income for the city/county I live in which could use that money, I could stomach the loud noise for a couple of hours. But that's just me. |

| I was at a friend's house last week in San Bernardino about 8 miles away from the event and could hear EVERYTHING. Car alarms were going off non-stop in the area, windows were vibrating, the dogs kept barking all night until the event stopped. I think it might be time to move all these events out to the desert where there is nobody left to complain |

The last time I heard of something like this it was for Guns N Roses and Metallica September 7, 1992 in Columbia SC. You could actually hear the lyrics loud and clear 20 miles away. It threw the entire city in an uproar, not to mention Axl Rose tore up the hotel they were in. |

| The main guy who helps build the stages was w/ police 2 or 3 times. They went pretty far and he had to radio the guys to turn it down but that didn't work now did it. |

I was told at Nocturnal they had complaints that night as well... but as noted above, this is such a revenue generator for an area that can really use it, that i'm sure they'll let it slide with no or minimal fines... |
