don't know how to feel about this. rather pessimistic, yet excited to see progress. thankfully ridley scott is behind it. only thing missing is a 100% vangelis score

If ridley scott's initiating it this is great news! If anyone else was suggesting it I would be pissed, but this is quite exciting! \o/

ing hollywood regurgitating same ideas. Sad, really.

I wonder how many movies made in the past decade would be worthy of a remake 10 - 20 years from now? Bet you can count them on one hand.
Joss Weatherby

He's going to absolutely nail Prometheus and I don't think ever looked forward to a film more so than this one :D

I've been waiting for it for SO DAMN LONG.

I heard about the Blade Runner film a while ago, but I thought it was a prequel :conf:

But I guess that's yet to be confirmed....
Meat187
These days, whenever I read the words sequel, prequel, remake or re-imaging I instantly know that the movie is .

I would usually agree, but with Ridley Scott at the helm, I'm sure they won't disappoint.

The prequels/sequels to (in my opinion) two of the greatest films ever made, will have a slim chance of being as great as their predecessors, but I have faith in Ridley Scott pulling these off, I guess time will tell.

This. I don't really trust any kind of remaking or re-anything, but if Ridley's doing it, I has hope. He's not Spielberg, or Lucas so I'm hoping he hasn't lost all integrity and is just interested in doing it because its all he has to do...
