Does Anyone Here Have Balance Problems?

Since High School I've had a un-diagnosed neurological problem that went after the nerves/muscle in my left leg.
If I'm walking I constantly worry about falling over because my balance is so ed.
I recently bought a cane which makes walking easier.
Anyone here with similar problems? |

| A lot of people do. Especially after strokes. Unsteady/abnormal gait is a big problem for people with CNS dysfunctions. |

Indeed indeed.
My neurologist originally thought I had a spinal tumor, but the MRI was clean and I have (according to him) a pristine spine.
Next he thought it was a disease called "Kennedy's" but that wasn't it either.
He's still working on what I have but so far no luck, but I am hopeful he'll figure it out. |

Yes, I too have a cane.
It's awesome - it's all hand-carved and made to look like an Inuit totem of sorts. I use it to finagle the cats out from beneath my bed. |

And while we're on the subject:
Does anyone remember those rain sticks? Those hollowed-out pieces of wood that had, ing, jelly beans or tacks or whatever stuffed inside, so that when you turned them upside down, they made a delicate TICKTICKKDFWOWOWOSHDHAHSOSOSH sound - you know, just like the rain? They used to have them in The Nature Company. That place was amazing - there was always whale noises on in the background and the sound of numerous fountains toward the back, accompanied with a documentary about the rainforest or koalas or something, playing nearby. It rather reminds me of Ygrene's house, to be honest. |

| We also have several different wind chimes that we rotate periodically throughout the year. You didn't mention that but we feel like that adds to the overall ambiance. |
