LOL.
If you compare Oakenfold's EM from last night to any one of Tiesto's recent sets, they wouldn't even be in the same league. |

Yeah the EM was great, you could hear "OAKEY OAKEY OAKEY OAKEY OAKEY " :p
Tiesto changes his styles you know, dont expect a dj to play the same exact type of music for many many years. Tiesto used to play more uplifting stuff from the times of innercity and early stuff.
Its not a surprise he plays more progressive edge. Have you heard his 2001 EM? take a listen. |

It is good to change style sometimes, but he didnt have to say that prog was dirty and then play prog...

Maybe he is being hypocritical, but who gives a flying about what he plays as long as it is good. He's not an actor or an MTV persona, he's a DJ, and his job is to give the crowd what they want.
Example: I spin Trance, and Hip-Hop too at parties. I like a lot of the hip-hop songs I drop, but some I don't. But I drop them because the crowd is responding well to that type of music. It doesn't mean I'm a hypocrit, it just means I'm giving the audience what they want to hear.
That is the job of a DJ: to make sure everyone has a good time. |
