I think that a budget isn't really necessary, everybody has enough common sense to not spend too much money on a gift. We can try to work it out to where people who don't want to ship across the globe might get paired off with someone else closer to them. Perhaps we could do both methods that I listed in the OP.

I doubt that will happen this time. Lately in these type of things (Genre Challenge, etc) people have been more willing to participate, and if someone doesn't participate after signing up this time, they will be forever shamed by the community! :whip:

Don't let that happen again this time! So wait, does that mean you're in?
Also, don't forget that even if you have a gift for someone else, entering your name into the pot means you will probably still get paired up with someone random.

| I'm in although there are a couple of ifs & buts. My postbox in our building is very small, so if someone wants to send something over a certain size they'd have to send it via my dads and there are obv a few people who i wouldn't want to give addresses out to, so if there's the option to opt out of giving people your address, thus maybe changing the way it works then fine. A couple of people like Megan & Stu have my grans address but again it's not something I'd give out to people who suck :p |

If you don't want to give someone your address, can't you give them a PO Box instead? The point of this isn't really to pick and choose who you give and receive gifts from. Unless we did the second option, then I suppose some people could just trade partners.
So which option would you guys rather do? Randomized list, or separate people into pairs? |
