Review: Ingrosso & Alesso @ The Guvernment (11/26/2011)

I went to check out Catacomb, Pauze and S!KK playing in Acid Lounge which was great until they fed the music from the main room sound from 1:30-4:30. From what I caught, Ingrosso and Alesso were terrible :nervous: :nervous: Shouldn't be surprised given that he's part of SHM. So many cheesy vocals and ear-piercing electro (thank GOD for my ear plugs!). I don't know how anyone's ears could take the music without at least toilet paper in them lol. Even heard some dubstep to round out the suck. One of them played a track that sampled Daft Punk - Rollin' and Scratchin'. I was floored until the song dropped and completely changed into something awful. Mark Oliver never sounded so great closing it out :stongue:

Love the headliners or hate them... last night was the busiest I've seen guv since deadmau5 on boxing day 2009. It was almost IMPOSSIBLE to move anywhere in the main room. Classic Guv sardine can! Despite the music not being ideal, the vibe was through the roof. Very young and neon crowd. The new generation is upon us! Deluxe lounge was open till 5am. Gallery was too busy so they ended up moving the djs into the orange room while their djs were booted back to the gallery with a crowd of 10 people. House music - 1, Top40 - 0. It was so nice to hear enjoyable music in orange room :D The sound system is a lot better than the gallery's and the high ceilings make the room a lot cooler for dancing. Ended up spending almost 3 hours in here. Despite the few negatives, I had a really fun night out. I like doing guv nights where you spend very little to no time in the main room. Acid Lounge has grown on me a lot lately and The Gallery has always been a favourite :toothless

This is why I kind of wanted to go. Although I knew the music wouldn't be to my taste, it's been a while since I've experienced a Guv mega-party like that, and I knew the Swiss Cheese Mafia would come through on that aspect.

Foreal it was madness there. Looked like an all access with only one entrance. Definitely too many people but not surprising at all. Cant imagine what it's going to be like for tiesto next month. Its just going to be stupid.
