Global Underground - is it kaput?

GU has been pretty quiet lately, at least to my knowledge... the last few albums came and went with little fanfare (I didn't even know Carl Cox had an album out!), and the last one the website alludes to is Dave Seaman in Lithuania, and a Tom Novy mix (not for any specific city though, so I don't know if it's a 'canon' album). I know that the mixcomp is going the way of the dodo, but damn, some of the older GU albums were some of my favorite albums ever (you know which ones).

Is this the end of the line for GU and their famous "city" series? How would it be possible for them to be relevant in this day an age, when EDM podcasts and productions are a dime a dozen?

I'd be sad if they went away, but I can certainly imagine they aren't doing awesome.

I can understand why after Warren made his 20th GU album.

I'd rather see it go then having them recycle the same ing DJs over and over.

Another thing I forgot to mention was how surprised I was that Warren did that (rather decent) Balance album...

they should have just given Warren his own sub-series and it would still do the thing

anyway GU could hold up to this moment only because of Warren's mixes, Reykjavik is still my favorite of them all

I honestly don't think any of the GU compilations are amazing. NuBreed 5 is probably my favourite, which says it all.

Danny Howells Miami IMO... the rest meh.

I liked the two Deep Dish ones a lot
Ted Promo
That one by Nick Warren had some music on it.

enydo
Yeah, that one definitely had a few cuts.
Ted Promo
It definitely was like. Two discs. Pretty sure. Full of tracks.
