and also there are things like personal tastes, musical backgrounds and differences in perception :)
that's why discussing these things is like talking about eternity, there is no universal approach, everything's subjective and all that
I don't need a universal approach. I asked you a question, and you replied with the classic "It's just opinion, man". I want you to put your opinion into words, so we can have a discussion. If I don't like the album, posting more tracks I've already heard from the same album isn't going to enlighten me, is it?

if you don't like the album, what's the point of enlightening you, then
that "just my opinion" is the most relevant factor, I checked your opinion about Terminus, that's it. I really don't need to convince anyone
well, only if you want to be convinced ;)

I don't know, but you tried it anyway. Although generally I am interested when I have a total disconnect with how someone else hears music.

I know, Photek is not for everybody

@ripped - accept the duel from system-j;)
this particular album Photek did some stuff he has never done before, under any alias i know of. can't say i like it that much, especially compared to his older releases, but maybe you can say what in the music really makes it shine for you, what made you get into it.

Me too. I remember I tried listening to his whole discography in a couple of occasions, but just one and only release truly stuck with me - Modus Operandi. Probably because it resembles a lot in atmosphere early 90s UK techno from labels such as B12, ART and New Electronica. And of course, the programming is just otherworldy and completely different from anything I've heard in drum & bass before and after.

of course I can, but I won't
what you want is an indepth technical analysis
and an answer to a question "How can this album be considered not boring, it's so simplistic" which can't be answered in that way. And
because you will not be able to feel what I feel when I listen to it then there is no point. You will simply keep pushing your own ideas and it will never stop. I don't want to convince anyone in relation to this album. It's just too personal. That's it, it's all about the feeling.
If we were speaking about any other LP/EP that is not on the list of my personal all-time favorites (which includes Solaris, of course) then I would be more enthusiastic. :)
