Oh yes that too, well on that front all of these tracks were within the last two years, during the first one i went through 3-5 different listneing sources in an untreated room, one being with an old ass panasonic amp that had hella preset EQs (which i tried creating tracks on different ones), and different sets of really colored headphones.
until i picked up a set of AKG K240s in December 2010 and realized i had been lied to for so long LOL, also snagged a pair of KRK RP6s in recent September 2011, but still mainly use my AKG K240s for producing and just use my KRKs (in a ghetto-treated room) to mainly to check tonality and sub bass, still learning the ins and outs of colorless, balanced sound, my ears are still adjusting after so long with colored sources, always wanting to emphasize certain frequencies..tsk tsk XD
thank you for your input! :D |

It seemed to be the case, that when you had a definitive structure you were following while remixing someone else's track, you had a better grasp at developing remixes; more-so than some of your original work. |
oh i think i get what you mean now, lol sorry my brains been so scattered since the accident, but i understand what you mean now.
in my defense, the only original in this whole set (Sunset Lullaby) was made in february 2010 while alot of the remixes are alot more current within the last year, as you have already predicted. other than that im defenseless :p
more originals on the way though, got a few in progress in a lot of differnet genres including the liquid styles of DnB and Dubstep, just wrapped up in the remix game at the moment and everything else thats happening!
thank you once again for the kind words and your condolences :) |

I'll just say I'm impressed and it's in my regular listening rotation. |

Thanks! more to come soon, just been rough dealing with the serious whiplash. hard to get focussed on work when you're primary focus is to relax to heal. :) |

Cool atmospheric intro.. ears kinda wants to hear that FX in the background HP out... and there it is. Bassline notes have some interesting timing, not bad just kinda not what my ear is expecting. Nice Fx though, really helps move it along. Bassline could use some work with the pattern I think. The pads are of course very nice.
Breakdown. nice. I like the processing you have on die klavier...
Again, the bassline kinda throws me off, seems like it's almost not on par with the rest of the track. The composition and everything is great though, the chord progression, etc.
Def. on to something, and showing some pretty nice skill and promise. |
