CHEMICAL BROTHERS ANNOUNCE LIVE FILM
By Aaron Gonsher

The guessing is over. Pass the popcorn and prepare to dance in the aisles. The unstoppable Chemical Brothers have officially announced 'Don't Think', their first ever concert film.

Directed by visual mastermind Adam Smith, 'Don't Think' was shot at the duo's performance at Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, July 31, 2011. The film, which has been specially mixed in surround sound by the Chemical Brothers themselves, weaves together the stark psychedelic imagery of the groups legendary live shows with immersive forays into the crowd.

Advance screenings for 'Don't Think' will take place in 20 cities worldwide on January 26, with a global release on February 1.

For more information on 'Don't Think', including a list of cities where advanced screenings are happening visit www.dontthinkmovie.com.

When I saw them at EZ Zoo in 2010, I immediately thought how awesome a concert DVD would be. Their visuals are out of this world.

I will no doubt be at Scotiabank Theatre for that showing.
FunkyCrew

There is a DVD with concert footage out there already. It's really old, but it's hands down the best music dvd I've ever seen. I bought it many years ago. It's called "Chemical Brothers - Singles 93 - 03". I highly, highly recommend it. It has their best music videos from back in the day, extras explaining the making of the videos in great depth, as well as live concert footage as well. IN-CREDIBLE DVD :D

I assume the movie will be much like their live shows. If you want a peak at what it is like seeing them, or what the movie will be like, IMO, watch their show from Glastonbury this year:

Being the massive fan that I am, I live for the transitions from song to song. Since they play live PA's, they have the ultimate control over the layers they bring in and out. The transition between Horse Power and Chemical Beats is a thing of beauty. And then Swoon in to Star Guitar!

I love how they superimposed the visuals the crowd was seeing, on to the TV broadcast for added effect. If you have a big screen, full screen that , and crank hat knob.
