I'll try to make this short. Okay it won't be so short sorry.
This guy has managed to hack or spoof into my address book and is texting people from it. He's also texting from numbers in my address book to my number. He KNOWS who to text because it's only people I'm dating or was dating and he's obviously pissed about that because I refused to hook up with him and he got mad. He also sent a message from his phone to one of my friends numbers then denied it (to set it up so that it seems like his number is being spoofed too). I checked with AT&T which confirmed that he DID send those text messages. AT&T also confirmed all of the fake texts (spoof texts) sent from my number was not in their data base. In other words he's a liar and he's the one hacking into my account.
So I know it's him. I know his face. I have his number.
Problem is AT&T doesn't care. They are not taking action. The FCC doesn't care. They just said something like "yeah technology is scary huh." And the police, of all people, just laughed at me and continued to eat their donuts when I went to file a harassment report.
What else is there to do? Do I take matters into my own hands? Do I try to find a tech to spoof him so he knows to stop doing it? Is there any legal action I can pursue? |

Yeah, but he also has your name and your phone number. If you retaliate it might just make it worse on you. |

And autotuned voice-mail. Although I don't know if I'd go that far before seeking more traditional solutions. |

So, let me get this straight..... you know who it is, you know his face and you have his number..... and you've now come to TA for advice?
If you have all the intel and an actual pair of balls, go and ing ruin him. Seriously.
I don't know what limitations you place yourself under, but if it were me and the law wouldn't/couldn't do anything, some severe malevolence would be heading his way. |

Many web sms portals allow you to put in any number as the sender.
You could return the favour to him and start bugging his friends with libellous texts from his number. |
