The tab makes zero sense if the ticket is also scanned each day.
I only see it making sense if the intention was to find a reason to not let as many people in as possible |

The only advantage that I can see is to protect buyers that buy a ticket outside. If a ticket was already used, the potential buyer can clearly see this, which is not the case if the ticket was simply scanned.
Not sure if they have run into this problem in the past. However, the added risk for regular customers doesn't seem to justify this modification. |

This is a good point. However, if they were worried about that, they would have just printed 3 separate tickets in which the bottom could be detached..
Maybe they are trying to fight scalpers from selling days off by making it difficult to coordinate (such as if you wanted to just sell your saturday, you would have to meet them friday night and meet back up on saturday night) so it deters it?
who knows.. i think they still should have just sold the dailys at the higher cost like what EDC does. They make more money per day and it will still sell out. |

Iphone and Android is up for this years edition of Ultra. The only thing not on is the times, but they seem to be in order from bottom to top.

Not entirely true sir. There was the option to buy a ticket without transportation to Ezoo. Tickets that did come with a transportation component were more expensive; the transportation was simply not built in for the same price.
And remember, Ezoo took place on an island, transportation was arguably more necessary than it is for Ultra's location. |

You have to remember, this is not an official service from Ultra. $90 might seem like a ripoff but if you get stuck in downtown three nights and have to pay $50 to $100 to bribe a taxi each night then $90 starts to seem about right
With Randalls island you almost have to find another way to the island.
In Miami it has already been that you can either drive, use the bus, use the people mover, or take a cab. One way or another it is possible to find your way back.
The problem (compared to EZoo) is greatly improved by the number of people who have hotels in downtown Miami and only go to Ultra and care nothing more about the rest of Miami Music week or the conference. There are 0 hotels on Randalls island. |
