Oh ok. That won't be a problem for me. I'm living with my parents now (I'm a loser lol). So they can send me the ticket if I'm not here when it comes.

Who is in for a condo rent?

Thanks anyone, it's been an amazing 2011 and I think this is just one of many things that will make 2012 an even better year!

Can't wait to see you all there!

I actually kinda liked Anjuna. Tons of crowd energy during Above & Beyond, and I liked the warehouse it was in, as well as the huge awesome lawn outside to chill on. Not sure why you had a bad time AY, but I thought it was pretty fun.

I agree on the warehouse and venue, it was def something else
very very massive, good lighting, sound etc etc and the outdoor area was great also

but the music was just way wayyyy too predictable and no trance
just all the vocal hits blahhhh and the crowd was very young and just not my scene

Agree with you mostyl on this, except I thought the sounds was pretty ty. Crowd was ok, there was plenty room and no one was being a douche by acting ignorant and rushing to the front etc. Pretty laid back crowd. The music tho... Meh.. I hate the way Anjunabeats and Armada has gone. It's just this cheesy 130-132 bpm boring vocal 'trance' nowadays and I don't like it. I have been moving more towards techno in the past years anyway..

Still thinking about going to this this year, but I have to seriously reconsider after last year. We were there only because of Super8 & Tab anyway (and we only got to see Super8..)

if anyone has a reliable link or site i can check for condos that would be great. Right now I'm on the fence in going this year, but it can change quickly and I probably would be going with a group of friends. So the condo seems the best bet, especially since it seems that all the relatively cheap hotels on the prime locations in Sobe (8th St - 23st) are sold out or charging crazy rates.

or atleast get a room with a fridge and microwave...when your partying all day and night the last thing you wanna do is go out to a good resturant, just buy a whole bunch of tv dinners it will save you lots of $$$
- same thing goes for booze...BUY YOUR OWN BOOZE AND PREGAME BEFORE HAND!!!! in the clubs in miami drinks are just as expensive and the lines are stupid long (if your going to clubs, drink in the cab ride there)

- visit wet willies and drink call a cabs till everything becomes a blurr

- stay in south beach (from like 22nd to 14th street and washington collins) around that area is where most of the pool parties happen

- dont just go for ultra

- dont go to anjuna night, bunch of teenie kids singing sun and moon all night long (biggest mistake i made last year)

- go to sunday school

- during the day if you dont have any plans, go to the gansevoort beach or the armani exhange store...they usually have free parties

lol i loved anjuna night

Am sort of ashamed to say I've only been to 1 WMC in the past. 100% going this year.

Question for those who have been to Ultra in the past...how does it compare to other big outdoor festivals (like Electric Zoo for example.) Sort of interested to see what all the hype is about...

Well.. It's not THAT horrible.. But then again it is. The festival itself is pretty badly arranged (overlapping music, bathrooms are a cluster, entrance to the festival and the lines) but the production is pretty cool. The crowd is way more irritating than anywhere else i've been. UMF seems to have so many kids in there who have no idea how to behave and it can be quite overwhelming sometimes.

Last year Underworld and Chemical Brothers were excellent experiences at the main stage (the only acts i went to see there) because the kids didnt know who they were thus there was a lot of space to spare. Same with Trentemoller and Royksopp. I guess my point is if your taste is different from the kids (which i believe you do) i think you're going to be allright.

For example I believe UMF saturday will be pretty epic because Sven Vath will be leading the Cocoon stage and I think it wont really attrack the target audience. Which is perfect! More room for me.
