Its a great deal for sure, but I'm pretty certain that Pacha is gonna milk the cover charge and pack in hundreds of people, giving new meaning to the term "packed like sardines".
I had been away from the NYC area since 2009, so didn't get a chance to return to Pacha until recently. I went to check out Dirty South a month ago, and it was a terrible experience - 1 hour at the line, and then go in to find the place insanely packed. Forget dancing, there was no breathing room on the main floor - and this was before Dirty South came on. I left with my friends at 12.45 - 15 mins after he started playing. Earliest ever I left Pacha. |

I'll be very interested to see not only what crowd shows up for this, but what BT plays. I think he's one of the most talented musicians alive, but his club sound is ???
Pacha now has free before midnight up: http://www.pachanyc.com/guestlist_010612.html |

| Thanks Brad, I am really excited for this, and to be playing along side BT is amazing. I think he was one of the greatest artist in the history of music. He is always at least 5 years a head of everyone else in music. True Genius. |

I agree.. I saw him play This Binary Universe out full at World Cafe in Philly a few years back.... absolutely amazing.
I guess what i was trying to say earlier is he's very much in a transition stage with his music right now.. he got away from EDM for awhile, and there was a time I'd never, ever think he'd make a production with Arty. Now he's doing just that and playing a lot of electro-esc stuff (I wont even try to put a label on it, perhaps closer to Porter Robinson?). His new podcast is very commercial which really surprised me too.
I'm definitely going, and definitely excited to see what happens.. he's mind blowing, for sure. |

| he has a new cd out right? so we can anticipate what kind he will play. this should be a cd tour promotion right? |

These Hopeful Machines came out in 2010 - but this definitely won't be a cd tour promotion. I assume he'll play 75% of his own music, new and old - remixed, re-mashed, and a lot of it done live. It won't be a standard DJ set for sure. And expect to hear lots of stutter edit  |
