That has nothing to do with the question I asked you, but no - everything I do, does not have to be important. In fact, about 90-99% of the things I do, any given day, are unimportant. The important stuff has to do with meeting my girlfriend's and my needs, wants, desires - et al. But you'll probably not see much of even a karmic benefit from that so I guess you could say those "important" things are unimportant, as well. |
lol, like always. You say a whole lot of nothing, as you probably are aware.
| quote: | | Now, to restate my question: Given that acceptance and importance are irrelevant factors in your thinking governing decisions to post unimportant declarations about something you don't even care about, what are the factors considered for such a decision to be made? |
I merely replied to a assertion directed at me. Thats all |

| Why do you think it was directed at you? |

So there is no significance, what-so-ever, to the declaration of your beliefs about acceptance in the COR?
Am I to presume you just saw an incorrect statement and thought it merited a response for no other reasons than the simple fact that you thought it was incorrect?
Do you have no self-awareness? Are you ignorant of the inner-motivations that sustain your conceptions about this place; which shape your perception of the world around you and its various aspects that you choose to indulge in? Are you merely impelled here by your limbic system, chasing pixels like a cat chases a laser dot, and correcting them when they form in such a way to impugn your motivations? |

You seem to understand that I'm already dubious about such an assumption. |

You should't over-analyze everything. Actually it's a sign of insecurity. To feel comfortable over-analyzer's need to know everything thats going on around them (which is impossible) so they often run over the same things repetitively until they either jump to a conclusion or get into a panic and have a negative emotional response. You should identify the types of things you think about (is it what people think of you or are you self-doubting or something else?) and go see a psychologist. They may be able to shed some light on the situation. If you're losing sleep over it then it may be a problem that may develop into a disorder, if not nipped in the bud. Or it could just be a momentary phase of your life that will right itself. |

Interesting but irrelevant. Over-analysis implies that I'm ascribing ad hoc motivations to you in order to resolve anxiety. It also implies that this exchange involves some considerable amount of thought, on my part. It also implies that I treat all matters with the same diligence. For instance, I might come to the conclusion that this is a smoke-screen you've put up as part of your persistent evasiveness. There is always a possibility that I'm wrong.
And I do hate being wrong. |

Well, my whole post was actually sarcastic.

There's really no shame in being wrong. You just made an accident by picking out the wrong fish. No big deal. |
