Here is an updated version.

Did you ever meet the Airwolf crew or do a tour of the set? Did you get to ride in Airwolf? There's something really appealing about that much fire power in such a small package that could be anywhere in the world, within minutes, without much forward area logistics.

There was Blue Thunder.

But the opening theme of Airwolf just knocks the out of BT. It looks better, too. A LOT better. A more handsome pilot. The only cool thing on Blue Thunder was the Vulcan 20mm which, in retrospect, seems slightly unrealistic for so small a helicopter to support. You also had the bay with Copperhead Wire-Guided Missiles underneath Airwolf - a little outside the armaments normally permitted for police work, if you ask me. But so is that Vulcan.

Now this theme song just kicked all kinds of ass - and the show was top-notch entertainment. Oh, it was completely formulaic but the characters were as rich as any that came from shows in that time-slot. It's no Rubicon - not by a long shot, but that show did for the Vigilante what the A-Team couldn't.

It killed.

I used to love that show. , 90's Nick was amazing; I feel bad for kids today.
