im sorry i missed all the over extended break downs, stupid piano and vocals in the middle and the weak melody drop near the end.
SORRY I MISSED ALL THAT...
go back to the roots of trance moron, cause what you call trance today is just
pop-dance music.
Rodri Santos
calm down.
Bad Things:
-The overall mixdown sounds flat, like being behind a filter.
-Don't like the bass that much
- I don't find the kick very appropiate nor well produced.
- Do you know how much the track would benefit of snares/claps, hats and percussions?
-Too long without a real progression that keeps it interesting.
Good things:
-The sounds used are fresh in 2012 although some of them sound a bit amateur, i suppose this is the kind of trance a producer from 1998 that hasn't received any influence since then would produce.
-It has a good psy feeling the ambience you've created works.
Basically with a good mixdown, some percussions and a new coherent structure this would be something that people would have in their ipod.

i'm sorry but this track really isn't something most people would consider trance. I only made it to 2:30 in because the track really didn't have any direction. There's a whole lot more I can say but just take a look at the differences between even minor label releases from the newest of the new people to your track.

2:30 is where the song begins...

yeah but i asked for serious reviews, i didnt ask people to tell me how to make a generic club song...
ps. if people are allowed to "formulate opinions" about my song without any actual hard evidence, im allowed to "formulate opinions" about their opinions, am i not? if we get some maturity in the discussion, i will be more mature as well.
Yeah the sound quality is crap.
I completely agree with the structure of it. It's not really going anywhere.
In saying that i like what you've done.
Your slight hints of acid add to it.
Sounds like a tone down version of something Combichrist would do.

Seriously though, I can see your frustration. You don't like that music you don't dig is getting way more popular than music you do dig. It has somehow turned you into a tortured soul. What you've made is the musical equivalent of this:
Why is there 2 threads for this???
It was the first time round, a new thread dont make it sound anybetter.

Sorry, I was trying to be nice. Clearly you aren't so now I will just be honest. Your song sucks!
A genre is a genre, you can't make House and tell people its Rock. It just doesn't work that way.
