lol, live by your own words, need a better review (yes within the markus thread) just kidding |
:stongue: ya got me! fine let me attempt something...
jeremy olander was so sick opening. havent heard an opening set like that ummm i dont think ever. built his set so beautiful and never once slowed it down because he was "opening." hearing 'the drew' live made my ing night!!! also dropped his depeche mode remix which i would of expected prydz to play but eric was in the booth with him and just dancing along with a beer in his hand the whole time.
when eric started he transitioned beautifully into his set. it was just the perfect flow. of course his set was full of ID ID ID ID ID so i cant say much there. all i know is it was perfect. it wasnt like his EPIC sets which is mostly all his own stuff and a bit deeper but it just flowed perfectly. played for 2.5 hours. jeremy for 2. he was having such a blast in the booth, laughing with the crowd, constantly giving high fives and handshakes. his tshirt said YOU with the Y being the y from the pryda logo. ing loved that too.
beer 3 euros, mixed drink 4 euros, coke/sprite/whatever the 3 euros. what is there to complain about?
got a good amount of video but its gonna take a little while to get uploaded.
there now ive done my part.... when you've all recovered i want a PROPER markus review! :whip: :p |

I just texted my buddy because he was talking about it on our way home. I'll post as soon as I find out.
MASSIVE review incoming. I'm uploading all my vids first as words alone could not do justice for the ridiculousness that was last nights show. Holy !

Last night was my first time at Space and first time hearing Markus play live. What a crazy ass night. Unbelievable.
I was there with a press pass for my station so I've got a ton of pictures coming.
Great time!! |

| Here's what I can recall...I got there at 1130 and there was a long ass line but luckily willcall wasn't as bad...saw Pantone in the loft where we waited for them to open the terrace...they opened it at 12 and markus was already on the deck...the first half hour he was just getting the tempo going and around the first hour is just when the madness begin...he had great drops on songs that would get the place jumping...he was playing mashups ( one of coming home, one of sun and moon) as well as his own (sinners, rotunda) and others such as gareth emery-mansion, cosmic gate-be your sound, beat service-outsiders...I thought his track selection was great and he was in control of the airhorns and was using them to their maximum....he played til 545 to a packed house. |

it was a sick moment, to be honest not everyone in the crowd knew the vocals cuz of how old it is |

thats what i love about Markus, when he deputed Perception and Flesh 2010 in NYC @ Pacha it was just completely sick. Chill bumps for sure |

true that, everyone was jumping to his dakota tunes. The bass just kept getting heavier after each transition, it was madness. His mixing was solid as always. |

| Amazing night. Worth the flight from boston to be in miami for only 14 hours. 6 hours is a marathon set though? They dont claim his pacha sets to be marathons and he bangs til 6 in the morning. Only disappointment, other than that, Space is amazing and markus killed it. Was my girlfriends birthday also and the giants won the superbowl to top it off. Giants fans what what |
