Virus TI owners: TA soundbank is DONE

I started creating a soundbank for my Virus TI a while ago, but as usual, got distracted by some shiny object or something and didn't get very far. I was considering revisiting the idea, but then I thought that maybe some of the other TI owners around here might be interested in creating a tranceaddict bank.

Here's the general idea. I'm thinking that we each create a handful of sounds in different categories (e.g., lead, bass, pad, arp, FX, etc.) and use some sort of artist name abbreviation in the patch name (e.g., cryo Buzzkill bass, EricJ shhhArp [yeah, I just made those names up]). We could bounce the ideas off each other and use each other as beta testers. Once complete, we'd make it available on the Access website with the other free banks. Maybe even put together a demo track or two. I'm guessing that we could pull it together rather quickly if enough people got involved. For compatibility reasons, it would have to be limited to Virus TI/TI2 and Snow owners.

Any interest?

You might talk to Anakratis about featuring it on his site, too.

I would be interested but, first I gotta figure out how to export my presets or banks...? I never tried it, I've only saved inside the machine. I'm on a Ti

It's dead simple. Not sure if you're aware of this yet, but you load/save presets or banks directly from the Access folder on your computer using Virus Control.

I can definitely contribute a few patches, though they won't be anything special!

What if I've saved em on the virus in standalone? err, nvm, lol, I could just resave....unless there's another way? When you run the virus control on the pc, does it sync the folder on the pc to the presets you have already saved when you were in standalone?

Yeah, if they're saved on the Virus, you can open Virus Control, find the patch in the browser, and do a "save as" to your local drive.

cool, thx man! This weekend, I'll try and make some fx and maybe some pads or something.

I don't suppose patches on the older machines will translate over to the TI..?

The TI will open patches from older versions, but as I recall (it's been a long time since I've tried it) depending on the patch, they can range from sounding roughly the same to somewhat different to no sound at all (in rare cases).
