| I just find the trolling on here unbearable. The amount of one liners without nothing else is just so lazy for one and just depressing when you consider that you are sharing a forum with some 16 year old kid telling you to shut up. |

Consider it practise. In 10 years when you're in charge of a studio somewhere, some little 20 something will be telling you to shut the up because you're an old fool who doesn't understand the modern ways.
This place is just an analogy for the heinous self promotion (with all to promote) that's rife throughout this wonderful industry. Not worth getting riled about really, although you and I will still get riled about it. |

Uhh. Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as "trolling" goes, L4C is probably one of the worst offenders. Not that I have a problem with it, but it's odd seeing him call people out for doing the same thing. It's all harmless, if you're at all capable of just ignoring people/posts instead of getting worked up over everything. which seems to describe like 2% of this forum
not that we're entitled to a contest, but it seems like a dumb reason not to do one. Especially since he's choosing who gets to participate in the first place. |

Maybe you shouldn't invest the time posting here then, either. You should probably find a community worth being a part of, instead of maintaining this kind of quasi-abusive relationship you have with most of the members here.
Or you could just say something positive.. for once.

my posts are neither positive or negative. They are either informative answers to your questions or opinions based on experience. And i never start attacking members. I am not abusive. Every single time this happens, someone starts to talk and I have to respond.
And this forum was fine. Lately it has been awful. I think most of the older posters would agree. |

I think "awful" is kind of a stretch. Every single forum I have ever been to in the last 8 years goes through periods where people denounce it as an unsalvageable wasteland, full of members and discussions who are complete compared to "back in the day". Until everyone forgets about it and business carries on as usual.
A contest like this would at least spur some production-related discussion, I would think. |

Setting a minimum registry date on the TA forum would solve most problems I guess. Like members that registered at least 1 year ago.
Apart from that I wouldn't enter anyway. I don't even know what to do with the stuff I've got now haha. |
