iPad owners - V-Control Pro 1.5!!!

I've been using this app to control PT9 for quite some time and it just got the most ridiculous upgrade, including support for FL Studio, Tracktion, Studio One, Reaper, Reason, and Live. The most incredible update is the V-Window, which lets you see and edit ANY plugin that is open on your desktop from your iPad with almost zero latency! Open any synth or effect window in your DAW and select it from V-Control and voila - you're looking at its GUI and editing it using your iPad's touchscreen the same way you would with your mouse. Even when I'm looking at something like FabFilter Pro-C, the help dialog window pops up on both. This app was always worth the $50 I paid for it last year, and this free upgrade makes it hands-down the best controller app on the market IMO.

Seems awesome, I'm a knob when it comes to an iPad world, should get one i guess , but i do want to know how does it feel to tweak knobs on touch screen, do you press the screen with your finger and turn or move it about ... to me , it seems ...using a mouse is easier

Oh for s sake, that's done it now. I now have to pony up and buy a ipad for logic.

I'm going to look as gay as Richie now with his little ipad array.

i actually bought a euphonix control surface. lol. Still use the ipads for touchosc as i spent alot of time making all my own templates for each synth and instrument i use.

no !

Did you get the mc mix or control? We had a bunch of them at work before they came out officially and had to return the as they hadn't yet ironed out the bugs and were uber flakey.

They're wicked - If i had a spare 5 grand, I'd buy three Mc Mix and a control and make a nice control suface desk out of them.

The faders are the same as used in the full system 5 desks that we had at work. They are a thing of beauty to use.

hang on, I thought you said that flying faders freaked you out?

it is taking time. But i tend to by pass them when i can. The ipads are great and i still use them but at different parts of what i'm doing.

both. Not really talented enough to have need for more than that many faders. I've been using the faders as tempo controls to get nice human like phrases. Kinda just pretend you are conducting and have the left hand on the fader.

I don't know why I've not come across this before :conf:

I'll definitely be downloading this later.

That's pretty neat. How accurate is it considering you have to use your fingers?

Lol, you're weird. Never met anyone that has a problem with control surfaces.

That however is kind of interesting. What scale of tempo control do you have setup (i.e. what range in terms of bpm? etc). Also Why "not talented enough"? Every composer I know uses way more tracks than the average EDM producer, but then again I suppose they're far more used to working ITB and just doing automation/expression in their DAW, so i see what you're saying.

Btw, one cool thing with the faders on the Euphonix: push the fader with something other than your finger (like a pencil) and see what happens ;)
Looney4Clooney
i can't ride 5 faders and smoke a cigarette at the same time.
