Been working on this electro - ish thang, guessing the bass will need some tweaks yet.

In case any teccie types are interested, the main plinky plonky synth lead throughout is from the Leipzig analogue mono synth and I sampled various takes, where each one is slightly more intense than the last and then I and gradually add and remove layers of this synth as the track progresses.

All drums are from Cubase 5 Groove Agent drum machine and also some samples from Wave Alchemy, all of which I add fx to.

Interesting groove there, i'm liking the space of the mix, width of the hats and percussion and the variations that come and go keeping it flowing along.

Thx,

listening back I think it's missing an additional synth line to join in quite far into the intro and then pop up here n there so I'm thinking about what it could be.

This I think is the first time I've not used any pre - made loops as I keep on finding I can't ever get them to quite blend in properly.

Think I should add an open hat at some point too, but as you ellude to I was after as much space as possible so I'll tread carefuly.

Cheers - how do you find Maschine btw? I just checked your soundcloud - damn thats immense mixing mate!

cool liking the tribal organic feel to the tune dude and love that pic proper messy
Osmodiar
Thanks Richard! Maschine is a lot of fun thats for certain, and can be really useful if you're stuck for idea's in getting a groove going (which it doesn't sound like you are, lol). I'm hoping to see some more genre specific expansions come out for it though because I seem to end up jamming on it much more than actually using the kits in my productions.

this is your son dad I just want you to know it's terrible :(
Rodri Santos
I like it all except the tribal drums + snare part that sounds odd to me, i'd try a different arrangement of it.

Agreed.

You have a melody during the break then you dont use it after the build up.

Yes it does!

Actualy my track here is not groovey enough, lacks progression and as such I'm re - doing it. This is why I value feedback as it tells me where I'm doing it wrong.

Cheers all for this. Must try harder.

Damn it, I guess I'm to late lol, maybe next time Rich.

Cheers
