He is just too old, period.. ;)-
Lucky me that I don't drink, makes my nights out pretty in-expensive. And I still closed out Marquee Friday and Saturday and After-Wedding Party Sun.
Which you disappeared pretty quick from Billy |

Went to Vegas this weekend to attend a wedding and obviously do a little partying and have to say:
I'm getting old.
Or maybe I'm just getting tired of spending $18/drink at the bar...
who knows. |

do you think us old timers need a place to party at? something FREE and no hassle to get in to?
thats something i always enjoyed about Spundae back at Circus. Easy to get in to for free, cheap drinks, plenty of space. |

Yes! I always thought that LA needs a small dark venue just for old farts like us. A venue that would take risks and hire some of our favorite old school DJ's that don't come to LA often cuz no one knows them anymore. A lot of our favorite DJ's either stopped or really cut down on DJ'ing. :( |

Ive learned that my favorite place to party at is in my own, or a good friends home. There is never a cover, drinks are as stiff as your boner, and the music is typically MUCH better than the club. Granted we cant quite get the krks as loud as most clubs, but at least there is no bathroom bum begging for money in exchange for a paper towel and the drive home is much safer.
The main reason I dont get out much these days is the DUI risk involved coming to and from OC. I have a lot more to loose these days by getting one of those. The overcrowded clubs full of drugged out drunks overreacting to bad music, and the lack of a well thought out night of musical progression.
I really do miss the circus hayday. No club in LA offers the balance of multiple rooms, in addition to the chillest patio ever. But even the tacos cant get me to put up with openers playing 140 BPM epic trance at 9:16 PM with their hands up in the air and 9 people on the dancefloor as he disregards any professional sense of musical progession. Its to bad circus is so stuck on delivering such a narrow scope of EDM to the same few hundred people each week. They have not mixed it up over there in at least 3 years. Id love to go back, but it would only be to see people that Im not even sure still show up there anymore. |

Like the old MNS days. Hanging out with friends with music in the background. ;) |

It was funny to run into you on the way out. We were there for an hour and that was it. Crowd was obnoxious and too crowded! I don't think I'll go to Vegas for clubbing anymore, especially Marquee. Next time I'm in Vegas is for edc and that is for 1 day maybe 2. I'm only going to hang with friends. That's the best part. :) |
