agreed. it looks as bad as a promoter doing a roll call for their own event. it makes it look like a desperate attempt at spamming the event again. i was going to text ovi about this but totally forgot.
feelgood
Erphun on Digger's show.

the only difference is that Ovi does participate in the forums. If he was someone that just signed up so he could promote his event by starting a roll call that would be a different story.

doesnt matter.
you dont see me making roll calls for every guv or TIL event.

also, i dont see a roll call either. all i see is an event thread hiding under a roll call thread title. this thread is close to being closed or deleted.

So is this a Guvernment event?
Also seems like a lot of dj's playing main room for 1 event.

Congrats Ovi. It's always awesome to see another Toronto local get to hit the decks of the main room (which I think should be a goal of every Toronto local)

not his first time, this'll be the second appearance in the main room for Ovi

it was originally an event for Gallery with ERPHUN, Ovi M and Iron Mike but it got moved to guv main room (probably because orange room was still under heavy renovations when i saw it last saturday)

So basically according to some TA rule, if you're involved in any way with an event, then you can never start a roll call? How far down from the top (assuming top being the DJ) do you have to be in order to be allowed to do a roll call?

its not a forum rule. it just looks pretty lame so it is frowned upon by many people.
let roll calls be made by PATRONS that are attending the event, not someone that is working it.
