| Yikes surrounded by 15 washers. Is this ruby skye 2010 when jodh gabriel played and pvd was at 1015? Place is super empty, no line at all. I should have hibernated from avalon till spring like I usually do. Freaking comp tickets. |

I got there just after 11pm and there was a huge line outside, fortunately will call was a breeze though. Literally watched the dance floor entrance close while I was waiting at the coat check and took me a good 15 minutes in line afterwards to get onto the floor. Dance floor was packed all night, a little less crowded after 3:30. Thought Paul played a good set, much more energy than last time at Palladium and the crowd was feeling it. But the washers, yeah... :nervous: |

exactly my thought. Didn't want to bother to get on the floor since I didn't get there until like 11:15 and the dancefloor was already closed. 3.5 hour set, better than the Palladium one but of course the production at the Palladium in June was better.
Anything beats his crappy performance at White Wonderland day 1 |

Now you guys agree with me that the Palladium set wasn't good. I definitely enjoyed it this time. I missed the dubstep part but I expected it given the recent radio shows. |

| So I really enjoyed PVD. Haven't seen him in ages. He really banged it out pretty good but at times it seemed like a rollercoaster.. but I'm not complaining. My first time at this club and was pretty surprised to not find a kiddie fest in there.. a lot of an older crowd then I expected ( especially the Asian's!! I think I saw about a dozen couples in like their 50's or something! ) Anyways.. Good fun, I got there at 10:30 and took off at like 3, age is taking a toll on my legs lol.. what song did he play as encore? |

Seriously - I was there for that party and I couldn't agree with you more. There was a time when I could identify maybe 2-3 tracks in a PVD set and often heard many of my future favorites for the first time through watching PVD live. Now, with the scene a lot more mainstream, and the changing musical tastes, it seems as if he is forcing himself to play what everyone else is playing and he doesn't seem comfortable with that.
I never thought i'd see the day when I'd hear PVD play 'move for me' by Kaskade. He also needs to stop playing TOOL and For an Angel in every set. Its getting way too predictable. |
