So ive been making this track, a friend of mine who lives with me whos into dance music aswell has told me i need my own style as it sounds like im trying to emulate Pryda! Ive not purposely copyed his work, i agree he is an inpiration,my question is, how does one go about creating there own sound, and how far is the line between being inpired by somone eles work, obviosly that will come acorss in your work, and trying to 'find' somthing different, that is yours? Tbo, i dont think it sounds like Pryda, just a bit inpired maybe, i see what my friend means thou.Hears the track anyway

u create your own style the day u hate all other music.

Get more than one opinion, then disregard all of them and just focus on making music in your vision without worrying about developing a style - it will develop itself.

Couldnt have said it much better than this. Just keep producing and your style will emerge, evolve and become apparent.

no such thing as originality, everything has been done so anything new is a copy or stolen.

It's kind of boring. And I don't mean because it's progressive, I love progressive, 14 minute songs. There just isn't much going on.

But it's well mixed, the instruments/synths/samples are all good and it sounds like a label release, that is all that matters.

Don't worry too much if you sound like Pryda. You do and you don't.

I dont agree that all that matters if it sounds like a label release, i want it to sound as good as it can

TBO, ive never relased anything and think im far from doing so, i will enver release anything mediocre or somthing that doesnt hold much value, theres way too much out there
