is it ridiculous for the hotel to be more than 3 miles away? some pretty tempting deals on hotwire, and i don't have a group of people to split a suite with. are cabs really hard to come by or something?
seriously considering popping my demf cherry for my bday :disbelief |
Like any trip and getting hotels, you need to factor in the difference of price from being nearby and the savings of staying further away.
So lets say you're saving $100 per night. Is that $100 savings still savings if you don't have to pay cabs two ways approx $10 each lets say. Then the savings you have on drinks since it's easy to run back to the hotel for a mid afternoon sit down and slam some drinks, at approx $8 each at the festival, you could be saving considerable money there as well. And finally, sometimes you can't put a price on convenience, how much would you pay for a evening shower after a hot and ball sweaty day at the festival before heading back to the festival at night? Or if it starts raining and you want to head back get pants and a hoodie or rain coat.
Take things like that in consideration, you could be saving $100 by staying further, or spending the same amount. |

Think I may make it up from FL this year. Really looking forward to it.
I was thinking of booking my room at the MotorCity Casino. The location, price and photo's all look decent to me but I've never been to Detroit.
I've grown up with WMC and am kinda over it. Even with flying Detroit will be way more affordable and the music looks to be better lol.. I've heard nothing but sweet stories about the after parties etc..
DOWN. |

MotorCity Casino is a bit far from Hart Plaza...
stay at Greektown Hotel, Atheneum, Double Tree, Book Cadillac, Holiday Inn Express... all are much closer... |

From the Phase 2, I'm stoked for Jesse Rose, the Nic Fanciulli b2b Joris Voorn and Seth Troxler b2b Guy Gerber
Lots of acts I recognize or don't know as well, so would be nice to hear them finally and discover some new stuff! |

+1 DEMF this year seriously lacks techno :(
From this announcement, the only ones i care are
Liebing
B&S
Camea
Plaslaiko
Hot Natured
Fanciulli vs. Voorn
Troxler vs. Gerber
Troxler vs. Gerber is the one that im the most interested into. Also been waiting to see plaslaiko for a long time... |

| Good on Adam Jay for making into this year's lineup - consistently solid producer and a half-decent DJ, to boot. Wouldn't turn my nose up at Dopplereffekt or Photek, either. |
